Compared to other commercial hydrogen peroxide solutions, our formulated hydrogen peroxide solution is much more stable. It is calibrated to ensure more reproducible peroxidase-based assays.

Example protocol

AT A GLANCE

Important notes
The following procedure can be adapted for most perioxidase and hydrogen peroxide based assays. In initial experiments, it may be best to try several hydrogen peroxide solutions over the entire suggested range to determine the concentration that yields optimal perioxidase.

PREPARATION OF STOCK SOLUTION

Unless otherwise noted, all unused stock solutions should be divided into single-use aliquots and stored at -20 °C after preparation. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

1. Peroxidase reaction mixture:
Prepare a Peroxidase reaction mixture with an appropriate hydrogen peroxide substrate concentration and 50 to 500 µM hydrogen peroxide.

SAMPLE EXPERIMENTAL PROTOCOL

  1. Add equal volume of Peroxidase working solution and peroxidase standards and peroxidase-containing samples.

  2. Incubate the reaction for 15 to 30 minutes at room temperature, protected from light.

  3. Monitor the fluorescence or absorbance with appropriate instruments.
