Posted May 6, 2024

Answer

A spectrophotometer is used to precisely measure the intensity of light emitted or reflected across different wavelengths, spanning visible, infrared or ultraviolet (UV) regions. A spectrophotometer can be used in applications across diverse fields involving chemical substances or materials. These fields include chemistry, biochemistry, physics, and biology. For example, in biochemistry, spectrophotometry is utilized to analyze enzyme-catalyzed reactions. In clinical settings, it aids in analyzing blood or tissues for diagnostic purposes. In chemistry, it can be used to detect the concentration of substances and impurities.
