PE-CD Antibody Conjugates
PE-CD antibody conjugates are primary antibodies pre-labeled with phycoerythrin (PE) and PE tandem dyes for direct detection of cluster of differentiation (CD) cell surface markers. These conjugates enable streamlined flow cytometry workflows for immunophenotyping. AAT Bioquest offers PE-conjugated antibodies targeting key CD markers for lymphocyte subset identification, immune cell characterization, and clinical diagnostics research.

PE and PE-Tandem Conjugated CD Antibodies

Phycoerythrin (PE) is a highly fluorescent phycobiliprotein with exceptional brightness (Ex = 496, 564 nm, Em = 578 nm), making it one of the most widely used fluorophores for flow cytometry. PE-CD conjugates provide direct detection of cell surface markers without requiring secondary antibodies, enabling faster protocols and reduced background in multicolor panels. For researchers requiring additional spectral options, AAT Bioquest also offers PE tandem dye conjugates that extend PE's emission into the far-red and near-infrared spectrum. These tandems utilize fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) from PE to an acceptor dye, providing distinct emission channels while maintaining single-laser excitation compatibility.
  • High brightness – PE offers superior fluorescence intensity compared to small molecule dyes, ideal for detecting low-expression markers
  • Direct detection format – Pre-conjugated antibodies eliminate secondary antibody steps, reducing protocol time and potential cross-reactivity
  • Single-laser excitation – All PE tandems excite with 488 nm or 561 nm lasers, simplifying instrument configuration
  • Spectral flexibility – Tandem emissions ranging from 670 nm to 780 nm enable expanded multicolor panels
  • Validated for flow cytometry – Optimized antibody-to-fluorophore ratios ensure consistent performance across experiments
