Protein Purification Resins

AAT Bioquest offers ReadiPrep™ affinity resins for efficient protein purification using immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC) and immunoaffinity approaches. These agarose-based resins provide high binding capacity, excellent flow properties, and reproducible protein recovery for both batch and column purification formats.
His-Tagged Protein Purification
The ReadiPrep™ Ni Agarose Fast Flow resin utilizes nickel-charged nitrilotriacetic acid (Ni-NTA) chemistry for highly specific capture of polyhistidine-tagged recombinant proteins. This IMAC approach is widely used for purifying expressed proteins from bacterial, yeast, insect, and mammalian cell lysates with excellent recovery rates.
Key Features
  • High binding capacity for His-tagged proteins
  • Fast flow agarose matrix for efficient processing
  • Compatible with batch, gravity, and FPLC purification methods
  • Reproducible recovery with minimal non-specific binding
  • Native and denaturing purification conditions supported
Antibody Purification (Protein A/G Resins)
ReadiPrep™ Protein A and Protein G agarose resins are designed for immunoglobulin purification through highly specific interactions with the Fc region of antibodies. Protein A and Protein G have different binding affinities for various IgG subclasses and species, allowing researchers to select the optimal resin for their specific antibody purification needs.
Key Features
  • Covalently immobilized Protein A or G on crosslinked beaded agarose
  • Excellent binding capacity for high-yield antibody recovery
  • Batch and column purification format compatible
  • IgG purification from serum, ascites, or cell culture supernatant
  • Protein G offers broader species reactivity compared to Protein A

Protein A contains four high-affinity binding sites interacting with the Fc region of IgG-class antibodies from selected mammalian species.
Nucleic Acid Purification Columns

ReadiPrep™ silica-based spin columns provide rapid, efficient purification of plasmid DNA and PCR products using solid-phase extraction. In the presence of chaotropic salts, nucleic acids bind selectively to the silica membrane while contaminants are washed away, yielding high-quality DNA suitable for downstream applications including sequencing, cloning, and transfection.
Key Features
  • Silica membrane technology for high-purity nucleic acid isolation
  • Fast spin-column format compatible with standard microcentrifuges
  • High recovery yields with minimal sample loss
  • Transfection-grade DNA from plasmid columns
  • QIAquick compatible PCR cleanup columns

Buffer Exchange and Desalting Columns

ReadiUse™ size exclusion chromatography columns enable rapid buffer exchange, desalting, and removal of small molecule contaminants from protein and nucleic acid samples. These pre-packed columns use gel filtration matrices that separate molecules based on size, allowing macromolecules to pass through quickly while retaining salts, dyes, and other low molecular weight substances.
Key Features
  • Pre-packed, ready-to-use format saves preparation time
  • Bio-Gel P-6 columns ideal for small sample volumes (50-100 µL)
  • PD-10 columns (Sephadex G-25) accommodate larger volumes up to 2.5 mL
  • Efficient removal of salts, free labels, and reaction byproducts
  • Excellent recovery of proteins and nucleic acids
