Given the growing interest in transcriptome studies, it has become essential to isolate messenger RNA (mRNA) from total cellular RNA, which also contains abundant ribosomal RNA (rRNA) and transfer RNA (tRNA). Additionally, mRNA only constitutes a small portion of total cellular RNA, further making purification difficult. Fortunately, by targeting the polyadenylated RNA tail on the 3' end of mRNA, oligo(dT)-coated magnetic beads can easily extract mRNA under standard hybridization conditions. ReadiPrep™ Oligo(dT)30 Magnetic Beads extract and isolate mRNA from crude samples, cell lysates, or tissues by hybridizing with the poly(A) tail. Once extracted, bound mRNA can conveniently be eluted or serve directly as the primer for cDNA synthesis with reverse transcriptase, making it available for downstream applications such as RT-PCR.

The ReadiUse™ Viral RNA Lysis Buffer is a ready-to-use solution specifically formulated for rapid lysis of viral samples prior to RT-PCR analysis. This buffer efficiently releases viral RNA and disrupts viral particles, enabling downstream RT-PCR analysis under appropriate biosafety conditions. It is particularly useful for high-throughput testing scenarios where rapid sample processing is required.
