Overview

AATOM™ 514 is a rhodamine-based fluorescent labeling dye known for its favorable spectral qualities. With a high molar extinction coefficient, a fluorescence quantum yield of 0.85, high photo-stability, and excellent water solubility, it is an ideal choice for single-molecule detection, high-resolution microscopy (e.g., SIM and STED), flow cytometry, and fluorescence in-situ hybridization (FISH). It exhibits its highest fluorescence efficiency when excited within the range of 510-535 nm, making it a perfect match for the 514 nm line of an argon-ion laser. For labeling antibodies and other proteins, we highly recommend our iFluor® dyes that are highly water soluble and are optimized for labeling proteins.AATOM™ 514 maleimide is used for labeling thiol-containing molecules, such as peptides and oligonucleotides.
