APC-iFluor® 700 Tandem

APC-iFluor® 700 Tandem is a far-red fluorescent tandem dye for antibody and protein conjugation in conventional and spectral flow cytometry.

APC-based Tandem Dye: Uses APC as the donor fluorophore with iFluor® 705 as the acceptor dye.
Red Laser Excitation: Strong absorption at 633 nm and 647 nm for red laser-compatible flow cytometry.
Far-red Emission: Provides fluorescence emission at 710 nm for multicolor flow cytometry.
Protein Conjugation Format: Suitable for conjugation to antibodies and other proteins using conventional cross-linking techniques.
Applications: Suitable for flow cytometry and fluorescence-based analysis of antibody-labeled cells.

Flow cytometry analysis of PBMC stained with APC-iFluor® 700 anti-human CD4 *RPA-T4* conjugate. The fluorescence signal was monitored using an Aurora spectral flow cytometer in the APC-iFluor® 700 specific R4-A channel.

Overview

Allophycocyanin (APC) is a phycobiliprotein isolated from Spirulina sp., a blue-green alga. Like other phycobiliproteins, APC is fluorescent, with an extremely high absorptivity and a high quantum efficiency. It is a protein which can be easily linked to antibodies and other proteins by conventional protein cross-linking techniques without altering its spectral characteristics. Its strong absorption at 633 nm and 647 nm makes the tandem one of the best fluorophores used with a red laser in flow cytometry applications. APC-iFluor 700 is spectrally similar to Alexa Fluor® 700 tandem. It is a popular color used in flow cytometry with a primary absorption peak is at 651 nm with emission peak at ~710 nm.
