About
DAP Red
DAP Red is a red-fluorescent autophagy probe that selectively labels autophagic vacuoles in live cells, allowing multicolor imaging of autophagy alongside green fluorescent proteins or other cellular markers.
  • Sensitive Detection: Detects autophagosomes and autolysosomes with high specificity through fluorescence
  • Cell Permeable: No transfection required, allowing for non-invasive labeling for live-cell imaging
  • Fluorescent Detection: Suitable for fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry applications
  • Versatile: Can be used for a variety of cell types to study autophagy-related processes
HeLa cells were stained with DAP Red in complete media, followed by serum starvation to induce autophagy. Cells were then counter-stained for nuclear staining using Hoechst 33342 (#22657).
