(3S,4S)-Statine is a novel amino acid of pepstatin, a low molecular weight inhibitor of acid proteases. This FMOC-Statine building lock is a very useful precursor for preparing protease-resistant peptide for pharmacetical application using the standard FMOC chemistry.
