The Gelite™ 100 bp-10 kb DNA Ladder is designed to help size and estimate the mass of double-stranded DNA and PCR products within the 100 to 10,000 base pair range on agarose or polyacrylamide gels. This ladder consists of 19 different DNA fragments that have been purified through chromatography. The 500, 1,500, and 3,000 bp bands have increased intensity, providing a point of reference for easy orientation. Each band contains an estimated mass of DNA (0.5 µg per load), which can be used to approximate the mass of DNA in similarly intense samples of comparable size. The Gelite™ 100 bp-10 kb DNA Ladder is ready-to-use premixed with the DNA tracking dyes Bromophenol Blue for convenient loading and developing sharp bands.
