IP1 Azide

Product key features

  • An excellent building block to develop IP1 probes
  • Readily reacts with alkynyl compounds
  • Might be used for detecting myo-inositol

Product description

IP1 Azide is an excellent building block to develop probes for detecting 1D-myo-inositol 1-phosphate (IP1) via the well known click chemistry (CuAAC). It readily reacts with alkynyl-containing biomolecules (such as peptides, antibodies and alkynyl-modified oligos) under extremely mild conditions. IP1 is an inositol having myo- configuration substituted at position 1 by a phosphate group. It has a role as a human metabolite, an Escherichia coli metabolite and a mouse metabolite. IP1 is functionally related to myo-inositol. It is a conjugate acid of 1D-myo-inositol 1-phosphate.
