About
ReadiUse™ RBC Lysis Buffer
ReadiUse™ RBC Lysis Buffer is a ready-to-use ammonium chloride solution that selectively lyses red blood cells while preserving leukocyte viability, optimized for flow cytometry sample preparation.
  • Ready-to-Use: Pre-formulated 1X solution eliminates the need for dilution or preparation
  • Selective Erythrocyte Lysis: Efficiently lyses red blood cells while preserving leukocyte viability and function
  • Optimized for Single-Cell Suspensions: Ideal for mouse hematopoietic tissues and human peripheral blood
  • Minimal Impact on Leukocytes: Designed to minimize alterations in lymphocyte integrity for downstream applications
  • Reproducible and Reliable: Rigorously validated for consistent RBC removal in immunology, hematology, and flow cytometry workflows
Red blood cell (RBC) lysis is the process of selectively destroying RBC membranes while preserving leukocyte viability and function. Here, the lysis buffer reacts only with RBC membranes—causing them to rupture and release their intracellular contents—while nucleated white blood cells remain intact and are ready for downstream applications in immunology, hematology, and flow cytometry. ReadiUse™ RBC Lysis Buffer is a pre-diluted, 1X reagent formulated with ammonium chloride to rapidly and efficiently remove RBCs from mouse hematopoietic tissues and human peripheral blood samples, minimizing effects on lymphocytes and other nucleated cells.
