How can I lyse my cells without lysing the nuclear membrane?

Posted February 26, 2018

Do you offer a product for this?

Answer

Yes, use ReadiUse™ mammalian cell lysis buffer (Cat# 20012). This buffer lyses the cell membrane without compromising the integrity of the nuclear membranes. After lysis, pellet the nuclei by centrifugation and then transfer the supernatant to a new tube. If you wish to isolate both the nuclear and soluble fractions, re-suspend the nuclear pellet in RIPA buffer.
