What is FRET imaging?

Posted March 16, 2021

Answer

FRET imaging is a special technique used to measure the distance between a donor and an acceptor chromophore. It is also known as FRET technique.

FRET imaging relies on the distance-dependent transfer of energy between the donor-acceptor pair. It is best suited for investigating protein interactions that occur between two molecules positioned less than 10 nanometers from each other.
