Answer

There are various advantages of using antibody arrays to analyze phosphorylated proteins. One advantage is the simultaneous detection of multiple phosphorylated proteins or phosphosites in a single experiment. This is helpful for saving time and resources as compared to doing individual assays for each target protein. These arrays also utilize highly specific antibodies designed to recognize phosphorylated epitopes on target proteins. This ensures that only phosphorylated proteins are detected, eliminating cross-reactivity with non-phosphorylated proteins. These arrays also allow for detection of low-abundance phosphorylated proteins. Another advantage of antibody arrays is that they require small sample volumes compared to other methods, making them helpful for studies with limited sample availability.
