Answer
There are various similarities between cell line, cell strain, and cell type. Cell lines and cell strains are derived from primary cultures, in which normal cells are isolated from tissues or organisms. The three are also used in laboratories, for experiments including studying disease mechanisms. For example, genetic tests permit scientists to study how cells respond to external factors such as toxins or temperatures. Another similarity is that cell lines and cell strains are two types of cell populations.
