What are the similarities between compact bones and spongy bones?

Compact bones and spongy bones are the two types of bone tissue found in animals, including human beings. Both contain calcium and both are composed of a type of connective tissue known as osseous tissue. Compact and spongy bones are both equally important in body movement.
