Answer

Pipettes are calibrated devices that are used in labs to measure out or dispense small quantities of liquid in milliliters (mL) or microliters (μL). A good pipette will have these characteristics:

  • Reliable pipetting results with high accuracy
  • Fast and safe volume setting with a range lock design to prevent inaccurate volume setting
  • Accurate range setting with 4-digit digital volume display that can be seen clearly from all sides
  • The channel indicator ensures same directionality when the pipette is being used
  • Proper color code for easy identification of pipette range
  • Simple and flexible maintenance, with the ability to disassemble each channel separately
  • Can be sterilized by high temperature and high pressure
  • Has an elastic suction nozzle that ensures uniformity of pipetting and air tightness of suction head assembly and allows the suction head to be opened and closed freely without excessive force of assembling
  • No finger grooves on the upper half of the circular design allowing it to be operated at any angle
  • Sturdy and durable stainless steel double-sided range lock at the top outer edge so internal precision parts and external vulnerable parts are fully protected
