Posted January 16, 2024

Answer

Acetylcholine is an excitatory neurotransmitter that stimulates nerve cells and prompts it to send out information from the brain to the body. Acetylcholine serves a fundamental role in nearly all bodily movements and essential functions, including breathing. The system comprising neurons and specialized cells that transmit and receive acetylcholine, known as the "cholinergic system," spans across the entire human body.
