The typical Kd value of an antibody varies widely, and is dependent on the affinity of the antibody-antigen interaction. When the antibody sensitivity is micromolar, the Kd value is between 10^-4 to 10^-6. The Kd value lies between 10^-7 to 10^-9 when the antibody sensitivity is nanomolar. When the antibody sensitivity is picomolar, the Kd value is between 10^-10 to 10^-12. When the antibody sensitivity is femtomolar, the Kd value is between 10^-13 to 10^-15. The table below lists the Kd values and their corresponding concentrations which they bind at.
Kd value | Molar concentration (sensitivity) |
10^-4 to 10^-6 | Micromolar |
10^-7 to 10^-9 | Nanomolar |
10^-10 to 10^-12 | Picomolar |
10^-13 to 10^-15 | Femtomolar |
