Where is most of the potassium found in the body?

Answer

98% of potassium is found in cells. 80% of potassium is found in muscle cells, while the other 20% is distributed in the bones, liver, subcutaneous tissue and red blood cells. Only 2% of potassium is found in the extracellular compartment such as blood plasma and interstitial fluid.
