Dilution Calculator (M1V1 = M2V2)
This is a calculator for finding a missing dilution equation value, where M₁ and M₂ are equal to the molarity of the solutions, measured as mol/L or M, and V₁ and V₂ are equal to the volume of the solutions. Concentration of one solution is equal to the molarity times volume of the other solution (M₁V₁ = M₂V₂). Units should remain constant on both sides of the equation. This dilution calculator can be used to find missing values needed to dilute a solution.
Formula: M1 x V1 = M2 x V2
