Can Cat#22666 stain mitochondria in dead cells?

How long will the stain stay fluorescent?
Answer
Cell Navigator® Mitochondrion Staining Kit (Cat#22666) can only be used to stain mitochondria in live cells. It is not fixable and cannot be used to stain fixed cells or apoptotic cells.
Cells stained with our Cell Navigator® Mitochondrion Staining Kits will remain fluorescent for several hours but not overnight.
