Answer

You need to use an ionic detergent to completely disrupt cellular structures. Ionic detergents are harsher than their non-ionic counterparts and bind strongly to protein molecules. This strong attachment breaks the proteins intramolecular and intermolecular interactions and completely disrupts cellular structures.
