How are sarcomeres arranged?

Posted October 26, 2023

Answer

Sarcomeres are the basic unit that make up the skeletal and cardiac muscles. They are made up of long contractile fibers called myofibrils of varying lengths. When viewed under a microscope, it can be seen that sarcomeres are arranged in a parallel formation along the length of each myofibril.
