How is mRNA related to DNA?

Answer
Messenger RNA (mRNA) is a subtype of RNA. It is created during the transcription process when an enzyme called RNA polymerase decodes a single strand of DNA to synthesize mRNA. Although mRNA contains the same information as DNA, they are not identical copies.
The main function of mRNA is to carry a portion of the DNA code to other parts of the cell for processing.
