How many times does cytokinesis occur in meiosis?

Cytokinesis occurs twice in meiosis. The first time is after telophase I – this is the final step of meiosis 1 when the homologous chromosomes are separated from each other.  The second time is after telophase II – this is the final step of meiosis 2 when the sister chromatids are separated at the centromere and move towards opposite ends of the cell.
