Magnesium chloride is slightly acidic in nature. 

Magnesium chloride (MgCl2) is formed by the reaction between a strong acid (HCL) and a strong base Mg(OH)2 The resultant salt that is formed (MgCl2) is slightly acidic. It is made up of a very weak conjugate acid (Mg2+) and a very weak conjugate base (Cl−).
