What are the assumptions of ANOVA?
Posted May 19, 2022

Answer

The following assumptions are made when using ANOVA:

  • Each group sample is randomly selected from a normally distributed population
  • All samples are selected independently of each other
  • All populations have a common variance
  • The observations are sampled randomly and independently of each other within each sample
  • Factor effects are additive
