What are the components of T cell receptors?

Posted November 16, 2023

Answer

T cell receptors (TCRs) are made up of two polypeptide chains – an alpha and beta chain or a gamma and delta chain – linked by a disulfide bond that helps to maintain the structure of the TCR.

T cell receptors also contain complementary determining regions (CDRs), which provide the specificity in antigen binding.
