Posted April 26, 2024

Answer

The two different types of nucleic acid hybridization are:

  1. Northern blotting: identify a specific RNA molecule in a mixture of different RNA using labeled DNA probes
  2. Southern blotting: identify specific sequences on a target DNA using labeled probes which are complementary to a sample DNA sequence.
