What are the examples of passive immunity?

Posted November 7, 2023

Answer

Passive immunity is a type of short-term immunity that is developed by antibodies that are produced externally, usually through vaccines, and then introduced into the body. This elicits a quick response to the infection.

The most notable example of passive immunity is that of babies receiving antibodies through their mother’s breast milk or placenta. Immunoglobulin injection is another example of passive immunity.
