What are the similarities between immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry?

Posted July 25, 2024

Answer

Immunofluorescence (IF) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) are two laboratory techniques used for diagnosing cancer and infectious diseases. Both are rapid, in vitro techniques based on the principle of antigen-antibody binding. The results of both IF and IHC are reproducible and both offer improved data quality.
