What are the similarities between skeletal muscles and cardiac muscles?

Posted September 25, 2023

Answer

Skeletal muscles and cardiac muscles are two types of muscles found in the body. Skeletal and cardiac muscles are both cylindrical in shape and composed of actin and myosin filaments. Both have a distinctive striated or striped appearance due to the repetitive arrangement of sarcomeres, the fundamental units of contraction in both muscle types.
