What are the uses of the different bases?

Sodium hydroxide is utilized for producing soaps, detergents and is commonly used as the main component in oven and drain cleaners. Calcium hydroxide is utilized in making cement and lime water, and also applied to balance acidity in soil. Potassium hydroxide is utilized for making soft and liquid soaps, as well as being used in alkaline batteries. Ammonia is used as the main component in creating pharmaceutical and cleaning products. It is also an active ingredient in the production of fertilizers. Aluminum hydroxide is applied in water purification processes and is also a component in antacids.
