Posted October 12, 2023

Answer

The most important role of lipids is energy storage. Lipids are capable of storing large amounts of energy in a reduced space within adipose tissue cells. Metabolism of these stored lipids yields the energy needed by the muscles and the body to keep all the moving parts functioning smoothly.
