Where is reverse transcriptase found?

Answer

Reverse transcriptase is an enzyme that synthesizes DNA using RNA as a template. It was first discovered in retroviruses. In a relatively recent discovery, reverse transcriptase was found to also occur in two groups of bacteria - myxobacteria and Escherichia coli.
