Why is genetic code universal?

Answer
With a few minor exceptions, nearly all living organisms on Earth share the same genetic code. The genetic code is regarded as universal because it's consistent across a wide range of organisms, including humans, plants, bacteria, and animals. Despite their differences, all known organisms share the same four nucleotide bases (adenine, guanine, cytosine, and thymine), although they may arrange these bases differently in their genetic material.
