Fluorescent Beta-Amyloid Probes
AAT Bioquest offers a comprehensive selection of fluorescently labeled beta-amyloid peptides for Alzheimer's disease research and neuroscience applications. These pre-conjugated peptides enable direct visualization and tracking of amyloid aggregation, binding studies, and cellular uptake experiments without the need for additional labeling steps. Our collection includes peptides labeled with iFluor® dyes, Alexa Fluor dyes, and classic fluorophores spanning visible to near-infrared wavelengths.

FAM-beta-Amyloid (1-42) peptide labels amyloid pathology in normal vs Alzheimer’s tissue.
FAM-beta-Amyloid (1-42) peptide labels amyloid pathology in normal vs Alzheimer’s tissue. Normal and Alzheimer’s tissue sections were stained with a FAM-labeled amyloid-β peptide (green) and AmyLite™ Red (red). Alzheimer’s tissue shows robust plaque-associated signal with co-localization in merged images (yellow), whereas normal tissue shows minimal staining.
iFluor®-Labeled Beta-Amyloid Peptides

AAT Bioquest's proprietary iFluor® dyes offer superior brightness and photostability compared to traditional fluorophores. These next-generation dyes provide excellent signal-to-noise ratios and are ideal for demanding imaging applications.
  • Superior brightness and photostability compared to Alexa Fluor® and DyLight™ dyes
  • Minimal pH sensitivity ensures consistent fluorescence across physiological conditions
  • Excellent water solubility reduces aggregation and non-specific binding
  • Full spectral coverage from UV (~350 nm) to IR (~780 nm)
Alexa Fluor-Labeled Beta-Amyloid Peptides

Alexa Fluor dyes are industry-standard fluorophores known for their well-characterized spectral properties and broad compatibility with existing imaging systems and protocols.
Classic Dye-Labeled Beta-Amyloid Peptides

Classic fluorophores including FAM, FITC, and cyanine dyes (Cy3, Cy5, Cy7) offer established protocols and broad instrument compatibility. These dyes are ideal for researchers working with existing methods and equipment.

Effects of LPS treatment on cellular uptake of 5-FAM beta amyloid 1-42
Effects of LPS treatment on cellular uptake of 5-FAM beta amyloid 1-42 (Catalog Number 81111) in HeLa cells. HeLa cells were incubated with 5-FAM–labeled beta-amyloid (1–42) in the presence or absence of LPS (200 nM) for 20 h at 37 °C. Cells were subsequently stained with Nuclear Red LCS1 (Catalog Number 17542) and imaged using FITC and Cy5 filter sets. LPS treatment increased intracellular punctate 5-FAM fluorescence relative to untreated controls, consistent with enhanced cellular uptake and/or accumulation of beta-amyloid (1–42).
