Calibration curve for A1M in latex-enhanced turbidimetric immunoassay (LETIA): Anti-A1M Clone 1 (Cat# V100035) and Anti-A1M Clone 2 (Cat#V100040) were pre-coated onto latex beads to form insoluble complexes, resulting in turbidity increasing. Absorbance increase was monitored by automatic biochemical analyzer. The calibration curve was fitted according to the relationship between absorbance values and A1M concentrations. (Detection sensitivity ranging from 0 mg/L to 160 mg/L)

Application
LETIA
Alpha-1-microglobulin (A1M or protein HC) is a 26-kDa glycoprotein belonging to the lipocalin family. It is widely distributed in body fluids both in free form and complexed with immunoglobulin A (IgA). A1M acts as a radical scavenger. It protects cells and tissue against oxidative damage by binding and degrading heme as well as reductase. High concentrations of A1M in urine or serum may indicate acute kidney injury, proteinuria and nephropathy in type-2 diabetic subjects. Anti-A1M monoclonal antibodies are highly sensitive for the detection of AMBP proteins. They can be used for a broad range of immunoassays such as latex enhanced turbidimetric immunoassays (LETIA).
