Anti-Ferritin light chain (FER) antibody
Mouse anti-human, monoclonal IgG2b
Ferritin is a 450 kDa globular protein that stores and releases iron in a regulated fashion. It is present in most tissue types as a cytosolic protein as well as in small amounts in the serum where it serves as an iron carrier. Serum ferritin can also be used as an indirect biomarker for evaluating iron-deficiency anemia as the amount of ferritin present in serum is a direct correlation to the total amount of iron stored in the body. Anti-ferritin light chain (FER) monoclonal antibodies are highly specific for the detection of human ferritin proteins. They can be used for a broad range of immunoassays including latex enhanced turbidimetric immunoassays (LETIA), chemiluminescent immunoassays (CLIA) and rapid sandwich immunoassays.
