Anti-Follicle-stimulating hormone antibody *Mouse anti-human, monoclonal IgG2b*

Clinical comparison of FSH assay and commercial diagnostic assay: 72 clinical blood samples were separately tested using AAT Bioquest’s anti-FSH monoclonal antibodies on CLIA platform and a commercial diagnostic kit from Siemens. Data from this study were analyzed using the Passing-Bablok regression method.

Calibration curve for FSH sandwich chemiluminescence immunoassay (CLIA): all MAbs were tested in pairs as capture and detection antibodies to select the best two-site MAb combinations for the development of a quantitative sandwich immunoassay. Detection antibodies were labeled with horse reddish peroxidase (HRP) and capture antibodies were coated onto 96-microwell plate. The best selected MAb pair for human FSH immunoassays is (capture-detection respectively): Cat # V100175 Clone 1 – Cat#V100175 Clone 2

Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) is a 35.5 kDa glycoprotein polypeptide hormone synthesized and secreted by the gonadotropic cells of the anterior pituitary gland. It is essential for regulating the development, growth, pubertal maturation and reproductive processes of the body. In clinical biology, FSH levels can be used to evaluate physiological disorders. For instance, FSH and luteinizing hormone levels are elevated in primary gonadal failure, primary hypogonadism, complete testicular feminization syndromes and menopause. In pituitary or hypothalamus FSH and LH levels are both decreased. Anti-FSH monoclonal antibodies are highly sensitive for the detection of human follicle-stimulating hormones. They can be used for a broad range of immunoassays such as lateral-flow immunoassays (LFIA), chemiluminescence immunoassays (CLIA) and rapid sandwich immunoassays.
