Anti-Trypsinogen-2 antibody
Mouse anti-human, monoclonal IgG1
Trypsinogen-2 (PRSS2) is a zymogen of the pancreatic proteinase trypsin. It is synthesized by the pancreas and is present at high concentrations in the pancreatic juice. Trypsinogen-2 is secreted into the duodenal lumen of the small intestine, where it is activated by enterokinases to produce the protein digestive enzyme trypsin. In clinical biology, measurement of serum trypsinogen-2 is a useful tool in diagnosing acute pancreatitis and cystic fibrosis. Patients with such disorders express high levels of trypsinogen-2. Anti-PRSS2 monoclonal antibodies are highly-specific for the detection of human trypsionogen-2 immunogens. They can be used for a broad range of immunoassays such as ELISA, as well as in the development of IVD immunoassays.
