APC/iFluor® 750 Anti-human CD85 Antibody
17G10.2
The 17G10.2 monoclonal antibody binds to human CD85g, a single-pass type I membrane protein typically located on the surface of dendritic cells, neutrophils and eosinophils. CD85 plays a role in essential cellular pathways, in particular, the negative regulation of toll-like receptor 7 signaling pathway, negative regulation of toll-like receptor 9 signaling pathway and Fc-epsilon receptor signaling pathway. Moreover, in some organisms, it is a repressor of tumor necrosis factor production, is a negative regulator of toll-like receptor 9 signaling pathway and is involved in the negative regulation of interferon-alpha production. From a research standpoint, it is of biological interest due to its association with vital macromolecules/ligands. CD85 is a relatively rare antibody target, with fewer than 100 publications in the last decade. Even still, CD85g is typically used in flow cytometry applications as a phenotypic marker for differentiation of cell types, especially in the study of innate immunity and immunology. This antibody was purified through affinity chromatography and conjugated to APC/iFluor® 750 (ex/em = 754/793 nm).
