FITC Anti-human CD43 Antibody
HI161
The HI161 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD43, a 95 - 135 kD transmembrane protein commonly located on the surface of plasma cells, thymocytes, neutrophils, myelomas and T cells. In some organisms, CD43 plays a role in the downregulation of cell adhesion, promotes tumor necrosis factor biosynthetic process and acts to negatively regulate T cell proliferation. From a research standpoint, it is of biological interest due to its association with vital macromolecules/ligands such as EZR. CD43 is a fairly uncommon antibody target, with a little more than 5000 publications in the last decade. Even still, CD43 has been widely used in immunology research, frequently serving as a phenotypic marker for differentiating cell types in flow cytometric applications. This antibody was purified through affinity chromatography and conjugated to FITC (ex/em = 491/516 nm). It is compatible with the 488 nm laser and 525/50 nm bandpass filter (for example, as in the Miltenyi Biotec MACSQuant Analyzer 16).
