Zinc finger protein helios is a 60 kDa protein that can be expressed in the nucleoplasm of cells. In humans, zinc finger protein helios has been thought to be involved with critical functions such as DNA-binding transcription factor activity, and additionally, enhances transcription by RNA polymerase II. Zinc finger protein helios binds with transcription regulatory region sequence-specific DNA, metal ion and identical protein.
