About
PE/iFluor® 700 Anti-human CD41 Antibody
HIP8
HIP8 is an anti-human monoclonal antibody that recognizes the CD41 antigen. CD41 (also known as GP2B) is a 22 kD member of the Integrin family that is found on the surface of cells such as stem cells. CD41 is a component of critical cellular pathways, for instance, the integrin-mediated signaling pathway. Moreover, in some organisms, it enhances leukocyte migration. From a research standpoint, it is of biological interest due to its association with key macromolecules/ligands such as von Willebrand factor (vWF) and Fibrinogen. CD41 is a fairly uncommon antibody target, with a little more than 4000 publications in the last decade. Even still, CD41 is frequently used in flow cytometry applications as a phenotypic marker for differentiation of cell types, specifically in the study of cell biology and cell adhesion. This antibody was purified through affinity chromatography and conjugated to PE/iFluor® 700 (ex/em = 566/708 nm). It is compatible with the 561 nm laser and 710/50 nm bandpass filter (for example, as in the BD FACSAria™ III).
