PE Mouse Anti-human/mouse Ikaros Antibody
4.00E+09, monoclonal
DNA-binding protein Ikaros is a 58 kDa protein that can be expressed in the cytoplasm, nucleus and protein-containing complex of cells. It is alternatively called Ikaros family zinc finger protein 1 and Lymphoid transcription factor LyF-1. In humans, DNA-binding protein Ikaros is an integral part of organismal processes, for example, lymphocyte differentiation, mesoderm development and chromatin organization, and furthermore, has been associated with key functions like DNA-binding transcription factor activity. DNA-binding protein Ikaros is a promoter of transcription by RNA polymerase II but also is an inhibitor of DNA-templated transcription. It reacts with transcription regulatory region sequence-specific DNA, metal ion and RNA polymerase II cis-regulatory region sequence-specific DNA. Mutations and abnormalities in DNA-binding protein Ikaros have been associated with a number of diseases, in particular, common variable immune deficiency 13 (CVID13).
