PE Mouse Anti-human NG2 Antibody
7.1, monoclonal
Chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan 4 (sometimes called Melanoma-associated chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan, Melanoma chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan or Chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan NG2) is a transmembrane protein with a molecular weight of 251 kDa, located in the collagen-containing extracellular matrix, cell surface and apical plasma membrane of cells. In Homo sapiens, chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan 4 reacts with protein kinase. It plays a role in the upregulation of peptidyl-tyrosine phosphorylation. Chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan 4 is the subject of intensive study due to the fact that it acts in the platelet-derived growth factor receptor signaling pathway. It aids in organismal processes, namely, angiogenesis, glial cell migration and chondroitin sulfate biosynthetic process. Sequencing of chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan 4 has supported it contains 4 types of conserved structural units: Laminin G-like 1, Laminin G-like 2 , cytoplasmic, and extracellular domain.
