AD2 is an anti-human monoclonal antibody that is specific for the CD73 antigen. CD73 (sometimes called NT5E or Ecto-5'-nucleotidase) is a 70 kD transmembrane protein that is found on the surface of cells such as epithelial cells, endothelial cells and stem cells. CD73 is associated with a variety of biologically interesting macromolecules/ligands, for instance, AMP. CD73 is a moderately popular antibody target, with over 11000 publications in the last decade. CD73 is commonly used in flow cytometry applications as a phenotypic marker for differentiation of cell types, especially in the study of stem cells. This antibody was purified through affinity chromatography and conjugated to PerCP/Cy5.5 (ex/em = 489/679 nm). It is compatible with the 488 nm laser and 693/37 nm bandpass filter (for example, as in the Miltenyi Biotec MACSQuant Analyzer 10).
